3M™ PELTOR™ ComTac™ VIII Headset – Active Hearing Protection and Tactical Communications

The 3M™ PELTOR™ ComTac™ VIII is a hearing protection headset designed for demanding tactical environments. It protects against hazardous noise while preserving the ability to hear ambient sounds essential to the mission. It can also improve radio communication in noisy environments thanks to its integrated noise-cancelling microphone (on certain models).

Active Hearing Protection Technology

The sound amplification system allows users to hear their surroundings in real time, even while wearing earplugs. Dangerous impulse and continuous noises are instantly attenuated without cutting off useful sounds.

Integrated MAP Profiles

The ComTac™ VIII features Mission Audio Profiles (MAP) that adapt to each operational environment:

• Observation
• Patrol
• Conversation
• Comfort
• Off

These modes precisely adjust sound levels to optimize situational awareness in the field.
