The LV-120 is a finely optimized solution that meets nearly impossible requirements in terms of weight, durability, integration, adaptability, and refinement.

Entirely new compared to its predecessor, the LV-119, the LV-120 was developed in collaboration with the professional end user to meet the unique and varied demands of next-generation warfare.

At the core of its design, the LV-120 Plate Carrier addresses the warfighter’s need to adapt the system to an ever-evolving mission profile. The design takes into account current cable routing requirements, various plate formats and types, weight (2.03 lb in size Medium), increased load capacity, durability, and extensive user feedback.

Materials and Construction

The base configuration is a rigid, ready-to-use plate carrier constructed from X-Pac X50 Nylon and Nylon Laminate.

These new materials provide excellent abrasion, tear, and water resistance, ensuring a nearly hydrophobic plate carrier that does not retain moisture.

The nearly instant-drying 3D mesh lines the front and rear panels, creating ventilation space for heat and perspiration, making the LV-120 suitable for virtually any environment.

Design Features and Compatibility

The LV-120 is equipped with removable articulated shoulder straps with height adjustment, allowing the plate carrier to position naturally on the body.

For users requiring a quick-release function, the shoulder straps can be replaced with the LV-120 Tubes Shoulder Strap (sold separately) to facilitate donning and doffing.

• Front panel with loop MOLLE field for placards, EUDs, and mission-specific accessories.
• Placard attachment via G-Hooks, 1-inch side-release buckles, or Quick Attach Tab system.

Laser-cut PTT attachment ports are positioned on each side of the MOLLE field. They also serve as channels for communication cable management.

Dedicated entry points allow internal routing into the plate bag, facilitating the storage of excess cables and connectors.

• Rear panel featuring a full MOLLE field with a 9″ x 4″ loop area for identification patches.
• Rigid side wings serving as mounting platforms for future accessories.

These wings allow the Reactive Cummerbund to adopt an articulated radius around the edge of the plate, ensuring consistent retraction during movement.

The integrated rigidity of the Reactive Cummerbund ensures load transfer from the shoulders and spine while keeping the plate bags secured against the body without compromising comfort.

• Proper ballistic plate positioning through the cummerbund attachment point.
• Capability to mount heavier equipment on the composite polypropylene (CURV) chassis.

The one-size structure, combined with a rear shock cord tension system, accommodates the body’s natural flexion and expansion and simplifies the acquisition process.

The Reactive Cummerbund is compatible with SIDE ARMOR BAGS and SIDE ARMOR BAG CAPS for the use of hard or soft side protection.

The LV-120 incorporates a #10 zipper, developed in collaboration with Ferro Concepts, to establish a Universal Carrier Attachment Standard and improve cross-brand compatibility.

This zipper limits compatibility with older Spiritus back panels while enabling future developments and expanded compatibility.
