Quadruple 556 RAM Elastic Insert – Optimized 5.56 Magazine Management
The design of the Quadruple 556 RAM Elastic Insert originated from two issues: the lack of suitable AK magazine pouches that prevent locking lugs from tearing elastic cells, and the need for users to more easily reindex magazines in elastic compartments that collapse completely flat when empty.
To address these issues, Tegris thermoplastic strips were integrated along the sidewalls of each compartment. This reinforcement allows rough locking lugs or pressure points on a magazine to slide in and out without damaging the elastic. The system also keeps each compartment opening partially open at all times.
This provides the benefits of Kydex inserts without the drawbacks of a fully open pouch.
The Quadruple 556 RAM Elastic Insert works in the ARC Placard V3 and in any Velcro-lined placard wide enough to handle multiple calibers.
Note: For compatibility with Haley Strategic and Spiritus Systems flaps, male/male Velcro strips are required.
Key Features of the RAM Elastic Insert
- Tegris thermoplastic sidewalls: Enable smooth, snag-free magazine insertion and extraction.
- Protected stitching: Reinforced seams improve long-term durability.
- Heavy-duty 4-inch elastic: Provides strong retention while keeping compartments partially open for easier reindexing.
- Velcro® Hook & Loop: Compatible with Velcro-backed placards and the ARC Placard V3.
