Triple 556 RAM Elastic Insert – Optimized 5.56 Magazine Management
The design of the Triple 556 RAM Elastic Insert originated from two issues: the lack of suitable AK magazine pouches that prevent locking lugs from tearing elastic cells, and the need for users to more easily reindex magazines in elastic cells that collapse completely flat when empty.
To solve these problems, Tegris thermoplastic strips were integrated along the sidewalls of each compartment. This reinforcement allows rough locking lugs or pressure points on a magazine to slide in and out without damaging the elastic. The system also keeps the compartment openings partially open at all times.
It offers the advantages of Kydex inserts without the drawbacks of a fully open pouch.
The Triple 556 RAM Elastic Insert works in the ARC Placard V3 and in any Velcro-lined placard wide enough to accommodate different calibers.
Note: For compatibility with Haley Strategic and Spiritus Systems flaps, male/male Velcro strips are required.
Key Features of the RAM Elastic Insert
- Tegris thermoplastic sidewalls: Provide smooth insertion and extraction of magazines without snagging.
- Protected stitching: Improved durability through reinforced seam protection.
- 4-inch heavy-duty elastic: Ensures firm retention while maintaining partial opening for easier reindexing.
- Velcro® Hook & Loop: Compatible with Velcro-based placards and the ARC Placard V3.
